Stereoscopic warehouse, also known as automated warehouse, is a new concept emerging in logistics warehouse. It can realize high-level rationalization of warehouse through stereoscopic warehouse equipment, automatic access control and simple operation.

Stereoscopic warehouse is a high-level technical form. The main body of the automated warehouse is composed of rack, stacker, worktable, automatic transportation (outgoing) warehouse and operation control system. Frames are steel structures or buildings or structures of reinforced concrete structures. Shelf is the standard size of cargo space. Road stacking crane completes the storage of goods through the road between shelves. Management uses computer and bar code technology.

1. Stereoscopic warehouses are generally relatively high. Its height is generally more than 5 meters, the highest 40 meters, general three-dimensional warehouse in 7-25 meters.
2. The three-dimensional warehouse must be a mechanized warehouse. Because the shelf is more than 5 meters, manual operation is difficult to operate, so it must rely on machines to work. Stereoscopic warehouse is a form of high technology level at present.
3. There are many shelves in the warehouse. Because of its high altitude, it is also called high-rise shelf warehouse.
4. Stereoscopic warehouse can be divided into high warehouse (above 15 meters), middle warehouse (5-15 meters) and low warehouse (below 5 meters).
Because of the high cost of high-level stereoscopic warehouse, there are special requirements for mechanical equipment, difficult installation and relatively small structure; low-level stereoscopic warehouse is mainly used for the transformation of old libraries, which is a feasible way to improve technological level. And the storage capacity of the old library; more is the middle warehouse.
